Owner, Absolute Wellness
Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach (CWA)
Nicole’s wellness experience comes from a childhood of healthy living and exercise implemented by family. She expanded her knowledge in these fields at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Exercise and Fitness and her certified Health Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Nicole is also a certified Consumer Wellness Advocate (CWA) through the Wellness Registry, and enjoys seeing people set goals and reach their full potential.
During her time at UWO, Nicole was a group exercise instructor and personal trainer where she learned patience, time management, and authority with giving directions that shaped her to be the person she is today. With these characteristics, she pursued a career in Personal Training and became a Fitness Specialist to continue sharing her knowledge of health and wellness to employees in the work environment and individual clients.
In January of 2017, Nicole was offered to become the owner of Absolute Wellness. She was gracious and excited to take on this challenge and thought it was a great opportunity for her. She is seeing great progress with the company and is forever looking at ways for improvement. The city of Appleton has a lot to offer as far as connections and Nicole has recently become a member of Weight of the Fox Valley. She cannot wait to see where this career path takes her!
“I love watching people push themselves to the limit and see results, whether it be physically or mentally. Being unhealthy physically can also make a person unhealthy mentally, which is why the mind and body are so important collaboratively. My goal as a personal trainer and wellness coach is to change the mindset of those who are unhappy or want change in their lives.”
Intern, Absolute Wellness
Cassidy Amell is a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh undergraduate student. She has a senior standing with a major in Kinesiology and an Exercise and Fitness emphasis. Cassidy’s interest in wellness and exercise began in high school and grew throughout college. During her time at Oshkosh, Cassidy has participated on campus and within the community. She took on leadership roles in campus organizations and worked with clients as a personal trainer. Her passion for community involvement has motivated her to encourage others to incorporate wellness into their daily routine. Her main goal is to learn the ropes of corporate wellness throughout her internship and find her niche. She is driven to encourage body positivity in the fitness industry.
“My goal as a Wellness Specialist is to encourage body positivity in the fitness industry. I have a passion for health, wellness and mostly being happy with the body we live in. Our body is our temple, and everyone should learn how to love it and respect it. I want to push people to have positive thoughts about their bodies and treat them with the highest regard.”

The Relax and Rejuvenate program through Absolute Wellness has been extremely beneficial to our team. Not only has it given us better tools to deal with stress (a constant in our line of work), but it has helped us come together as a team. Since the classes have started, we've become stronger as individuals and as a team--and therefore, more effective in what we do! - Lindsey MacDonald, Development Director COTS, Inc.
